Hobby fire alarm wiring

You should not rely on a "hobby fire alarm" to wake you if there is a genuine fire. Please have your hobby fire alarm installed on a board or if you must in your room or a shed. I have seen a lot of video clips and they have "a detector here, a call point there, a sounder over there" etc, BUT they are often wired in alarm or telephone cable, if there is a genuine fire, alarm cable does not last more than 30 seconds, please watch the following clip.
